The Career Development Department is a collaborative effort between the NBPA and NBA to offer its players comprehensive career development services. The mission of the program is to provide quality services and resources to help players achieve their goals both on and off the court.
The program prepares players for the transition from their current playing careers to future careers that will build upon the qualities and skills developed as a player and enable them to achieve continued career success. A personal career development plan will be created for each player.
Programs and resources include self-assessment, career exploration, education options, networking, internships, transition preparation and more.
