NBPA Kicks Off Annual Holiday Season Of Feeding

As the holiday season approaches, the NBPA and its players are hard at work helping to assure that thousands of families enjoy a Thanksgiving meal. Kicking off its nationwide holiday feast relief in Atlanta, numerous players, in conjunction with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, are out in their NBA communities distributing USDA Grade A turkeys to 8,000 families throughout the country.

In the face of a difficult and uncertain economy, the NBPA, with the assistance of many NBA players, is proud to expand its holiday outreach to include as many fans and residents of their team cities as possible, including Atlanta (Nov. 9th), Milwaukee (Nov. 15th), ), Miami (Nov. 16th), New Orleans (Nov. 16th) and Los Angeles (Nov. 24th).

The holiday outreach efforts will culminate on Nov. 22 at the NBPA headquarters in Harlem, NY, wherein 2,000 families will receive their turkey centerpiece for a traditional holiday meal.
